For four years now, the Cans4Films Festival has provided tangible hunger relief for thousands of Australians across the country. This year, the Cans4Films Festival returns with the same local focus that has ensured that communities across the country are aware of the hunger relief problem in Australia. Most importantly, as it has done since 2007, the Cans4Films Festival ensures that we’re all actively helping our fellow Australians during these tough times.
Throughout July, Network Video stores across Australia will be hosting the Cans4Films Festival yet again. These stores will act as collection points for all types of canned food that will then be passed onto local hunger relief charities. Cans4Films not only raises awareness in regards to the important issue of hunger relief, it also provides tangible aid to those Australians who rely on relief donations (to date, Network’s customers and stores have already donated more than 180,000 cans of food). It goes without saying that the 2011 Cans4Films Festival promises to be the most successful yet.
The mechanics of the Festival are simple: donate one can of food at your local Network store and get a free weekly rental. Feeling generous? Donate two cans of food and receive three free weekly rentals. Not only will you gain the satisfaction of helping struggling Australians, you’ll also get to kick back on your couch and enjoy a good movie.
Cans4Films, Network Video and our associated partners are proud to bring you our premier charity event that really makes a difference to so many lives for those struggling right here in our own backyard.
